Road Safety

Road Safety Training Volunteers trained by TRACK give necessary help and aid to the victims of road accidents at the site of the accidents as well as help them to get shifted to hospitals immediately for treatment. TRACK is able to do this service because of the numerical strength of the volunteers who can be present at almost any site.

Blood Donation – Life Saving Program

‘TRACK’ encourages voluntary donations by healthy individuals above the age of 17 years for accident victims and other needy recipients. The society maintains a computerized list of volunteers willing to donate blood.

Organ Donation – Gift of Life

‘TRACK’ makes efforts to co-ordinate transport of donated organs from willing donors and/or families of donors to the rightful recipients in a systematic way harmonising speed, efficiency and accuracy. ‘TRACK’ also strives to create an awareness among the general public about organ donation, its importance and the need of accuracy in transporting the organs.

Medical College Help Centre

TRACK maintains a Unit of volunteers in Kozhikode Medical College which is approved by the Medical College Administration. This medical centre is run by the Government of Kerala and is depended upon by the general public of Malabar region. The TRACK unit gives guidance and help to the poor and needy who come to this medical college for medical service.

A special counter is allotted to Trauma Care in front of the casualty, (Medical College, Calicut). Round the clock volunteer service is provided here. Assistance is given to trauma patients and their relatives in dealing with the situation. ‘TRACK’ ensures that the patient is in safe and comfortable hands during the critical hours of the treatment.

Disaster Team Active Response

Trauma Care accident emergency service focuses on providing immediate relief to the road accident victims and this service is rendered in conjunction with the City Traffic Police. The disaster team immediately rushes to the accident site following any accident call reported through the Traffic emergency number. An ambulance with the necessary medical equipment and a trained paramedical medical staff will rush to the spot and provide the basic first aid to the victim If a victim is unconscious then he/she will be admitted into the nearby hospital. The Disaster team also takes the responsibility of informing the family members about the victim’s condition.

Disaster Programs

TRACK disaster response team is trained for responding to disasters immediately in the case of a natural calamity, a road accident or any other disastrous situation that may affect the society and common man. These trained volunteers can hold the situation from deteriorating till professional forces like the Fire & Rescue and Police Departments reach the spot. Then the volunteers shift their role to assisting the government agencies.

Disaster response team is generally the Primary Response Team and the First Respondents in a calamitous situation based on the skill and expertise they have acquired through the training provided by TRACK.
